• QR code data: The destination URLs and titles you provide when creating QR codes.
• Scan data: IP address, date, and scan count when someone scans your QR code.
• Session data: Temporary session identifiers stored in browser cookies.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To generate and store your QR codes
• To provide scan analytics for your QR codes
• To authenticate your account
• To send password reset emails (only when requested)

3. Scan Tracking

When someone scans a QR code created on PrefectQR, their IP address and the scan timestamp are logged. This data is used solely to provide analytics to the QR code creator. We do not sell or share individual scan data with third parties.

4. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication and to store your temporary QR generation state. No advertising cookies are used.

5. Data Retention

Your account data and QR codes are retained until you delete your account. Scan log data is retained indefinitely to provide accurate analytics.

6. Third Parties

We use Google Fonts for typography. No other third-party trackers, analytics, or advertising services are embedded on PrefectQR.
